News:

14/Oct/08:

Quest of Magic has been updated to version 1.1.0. Numerous glitches fixed and slightly easier gameplay. A few small extra features as well.

13/Oct/08:

Dungeon has been released. It's a simple maze game very similar to Maze Quest, only it's not text based. The idea was to develop an engine that could be built upon later, but as it happens I got bored of it fast, so I doubt I'll be adding to it anytime soon. I've released it as open source though.

11/Oct/08:

And the winner of the Story Maker Competition is... Tireas Dragon! Congratulations on writing the funniest story Tireas:

One day in Calorn city, the newly elected president Hungry Tireas was giving a speech in front of Burger World. "And to close the subject of tax raises, all I have to say is I will feed you" he said.

A journalist reporting to the Hungry Man newspaper stepped forth from the crowd. "Hungry Tireas, how do you plan on addressing the subject of Hunger?" she said. Well, on the subject of Hunger, all I can say is You will all have HAMBURGERS to eat."

No sooner had the words left his mouth when an enormous Cow leapt from the crowd and charged the President to the ground. The Cow was arrested, but the President had suffered a fatal wound. His dying words were, "But I like hamburgers."

27/Sep/08:

The online Roguesoft merchandise store is now open for business! Check it out by clicking the link in the navigation bar for all of your Roguesoft related memorabilia needs.

04/Sep/08:

Hang Man has been updated to version 1.0.1. Now the computer has 200 movie names for you to decipher, giving you hours of gameplay!

03/Sep/08:

Supa Pong is the winner of the 2nd GMG contest! Thanks to everyone who played the game, reported bugs, suggested features and/or voted for it in the competition. Cheers to all of you!

Also, Roguesoft just turned 1 year old! And, in a single year we've received over three and a half thousand views. Hurray!

19/Aug/08:

Supa Pong has been released. That was two months well spent, for this is one of my favorite games I've made so far. Thanks to Jinxycat who helped with the graphics, and thanks to all who are preparing graphics for version 1.0.1, hehe...

17/July/08:

The much delayed Quest of Magic has finally been released! Featuring 3 races to play as, 7 dungeons to explore and a fair assortment of magic items and equipment to collect, Quest of Magic is our biggest game yet. We actually reached the file size limit of our platform! So hurry, hurry, don't delay, download QoM today!

7/June/08:

Story Maker has just been released. Answer the computer's baffling questions to create short stories with completely ridiculous plots and events. No story is ever the same!

14/May/08:

Gridz is released. It's a simple arcader I started way back in October 07, but abandoned after I got bored with the concept. I had to rebuild it from scratch though, as the old code was horrendously outdated. It's not a very big game, (because again, I got bored of the concept) but it includes a level editor. Anyways, enjoy!

21/April/08:

The Grid Nav Example has been upgraded to demonstrate the V6 system. You can download it from the Extras page.

14/March/08:

The Grid Nav Example which currently demonstrates the V4 navigation system is being upgraded to demonstrate the V6 system. As such it has been removed from the Extras page for the time being. Also, RS Simple Battle is now available to download from the Extras page. This helpful GM resource contains an easy to understand weapon/armor system as well as an EXP system.

6/February/08:

A new beta of Moon Fable is released. This new version is considerably more balanced in terms of gameplay and difficulty, and has more areas to explore. It also contains an early build of the Magic system.

7/January/08:

I'm setting up this "News" thing to keep people who don't visit the forum often updated on project status and stuff. *cue tumbleweed* Well we're bound to have people on the site someday!

Oh, here's a real piece of news: Our newest game Rogue Frog has just been released! It's a simple arcader which has you running from a ridiculously fast moving frog in an attempt to survive the level time, thus allowing you to progress to the next level. It features four modes of difficulty and a high score tracker. Also, this is the first game to contain more than my own name in the credits, as Woodhaven helped with level design. (and you thought the other two didn't exist!)
